With computer vision, OpenDataCam tracks and counts moving objects. It consists of a camera attached to an NVIDIA Jetson board. As an edge-AI device, the detection, tracking and counting is running on the device, ensuring no images get stored. The simple setup allows everybody to become an urban data miner. In this talk I will introduce the project and technology behind OpenDataCam, explaining how Edge-AI allows for privacy-sensitive camera applications and how OpenDataCam can be deployed, customized and extended.
