Kern AI builds the self-service development environment for NLP training data, used by data scientists to quickly build high-quality, large-scale labeled datasets. As a result, users can both research and iterate on their task at hand much faster and with better results. Possible use cases include intent classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, aspect matching, finetuning similarity search, or building text-based recommender systems.
The startup was founded in late 2020 as a spin-off from the Hasso Plattner Institute. Kern AI currently consists of 12 engineers, working towards a more data-centric approach to AI. We publish the results of our research, and soon will open-source our main application.
