Customer Centric IoT Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn how to conceptualise and design customer-centric ecosystems based on IoT technologies and machine learning.

A kick-off presentation will illustrate the difference between product-centric, customer-centric and customer-focused systems and provide insights into which parameters lead to the best user experience. Afterwards, the participants will work in small teams on concrete solutions using the "Customer Centricity Canvas" and the User Centered Design Methodology.

Contents of the workshop include user and customer centricity, user-centred design, smart ecosystems, user experience, usability, user interface design, Internet of Things and Services, machine learning, artificial intelligence, Lego Serious Play, Customer Centricity Canvas, etc.

The workshop serves to build user-centric AI-based ecosystems in small teams.

Each participant* should enjoy interdisciplinary teamwork and the conception and design of innovative solutions.

Workshop schedule:

  1. Short round of introductions with a questionnaire on expectations // Warm up – short impulse lecture with basic principles on the topic
  2. Task definition including explanation of the Customer Centricity Canvas // Team-specific elaboration of the selected solution approach
  3. Presentation of the results
  4. Final discussion and open questions.

The workshop aims to provide an understanding of the factors and principles that make up true customer centricity, how machine learning and AI can be used to bring about the best user experience and how customer centric ecosystems should be structurally built to be successful.

It is aimed at all knowledge levels – from beginner to expert.  Everyone should own a smartphone and be able to use it. And important: Since the workshop will be in English, of course understand and speak English.
